Hi, my name is Marcus. Somehow always looking for something beautiful that enriches my life and I prefer to be out in nature with my camera to capture magical moments for eternity. I am also working as a producer, director, writer, and CEO for the company dervia Films. The company’s long-term goal is to produce internationally high-quality film and series formats and to tell stories that want to be heard - from drama to comedy. From arthouse projects to thrillers.

I think I have a talent for recognizing special moments and giving them a purpose in my photographs. Especially when portraying people, it is important that you give yourself completely to the situation. I love moments like this, whether in nature or just on the street corner. Be in the moment and let the magic happen. The first big trip that I was allowed to do was in 2011. At that time I flew to Nashville with small luggage to accompany a German singer/ songwriter in the recording studio together with the ex-drummer from Pearl Jam - what an adventure. Then there was a very long break where I sold all of my photo equipment until I traveled to Namibia for a month in 2020 drove across the country and finally fulfilled my dream of Iceland at the end of 2021. Hopefully, it won't be my last adventure.

Oh yes. By the way, I once studied business administration with a focus on taxes and law, but I realized very quickly that such an office job is not made for me ... every now and then it takes a bit of risk-taking in life to do what the heart really wants.
